Daniel Thelen, J.D.
Daniel Thelen, J.D., joined our law firm in July 2005. He primarily focuses on real estate law, business law, litigation, labor law and bankruptcy law.
Daniel is a graduate of the Institute of International Studies at Charles University’s School of Social Sciences (1998) and Charles University’s School of Law (2002). In the years 2000-2005, he worked for the Donath-Burson-Marsteller PR agency, where he primarily focused on media relations and crisis communication, specializing in legal disputes involving foreign investors in the Czech Republic. He worked for foreign investors in the petrochemical industry, the media and the banking sector. He successfully passed the Czech Bar Exam in 2008.
Besides working in public relations, Daniel also worked as a translator from Czech to English and vice versa. His clients included a prominent American film and TV producer as well as a Czech magazine focused on foreign investment. He also created Czech subtitles for the popular BBC series Red Dwarf.
Apart from the law, Daniel’s other interests primarily include 20th-century history, Russian literature, skiing, squash and bowling.
Daniel Thelen speaks fluent Czech and English. He also has a passive knowledge of Russian, Spanish and German.
